AirKrete

The insulation was blown in yesterday. It's a foamy, messy operation but also quiet and free of odors. It looks like a sea of pastel green shaving cream. It's all over the attic. Thankfully on surfaces it vacuums up easily once it dries. The contractor will finish putting down the floor boards today and then I will vacuum and move everything back up. Hurray!

Air Krete® is a non-toxic insulation that is easily inserted into open and closed cavities such as walls, roofs, and ceilings. Air Krete is installed as a foam with the consistency of shaving cream, which then hardens into a stable foam. It has a high thermal efficiency, is sound-absorbing and fire-proof. Its basic components are air, water, and cement, making it cost-effective and environmentally safe. It's resistant to mold growth in 95% relative humidity. Air Krete requires professional installation.
