Luke's 3rd birthday was yesterday. It was unfortunately a rainy, yucky day but Luke got to spend it with cousin Adyson so he didn't mind at all. I drove out and picked up the playground in boxes and when we finally got a small sunbreak we unloaded it from the truck. We toyed with putting it together (Grandpa Odenius's idea) but the hardware came in a huge box and was completely overwhelming. For step one you need 3 H50's (along with 12 other hardware pieces) then you had to reference page 18 in the instruction booklet to find that H50's are in bag 10-57-246-5010. The clouds started rolling in so instead of putting it together Randy sorted hardware while the kids played.
On Friday we had playgroup here and it was a lovely warm sunny day. Luke didn't want a birthday party so we didn't do cake or gifts or anything, just the usual kids and snacks. The kids loved running around the patio and backyard. It was a chaotic but wonderful morning.
