Reading

Luke's really taking off in his reading.  Suddenly he's so good at it and way more confident.  I think all the reading we do to him and all the audio books he listens to really does help.  Since school started approx 6 weeks ago we have gone through 9 audio books.  These are 2-4 hours in length each.  They are geared more toward upper elementary and middle school kids but he can't get enough of them.  The book we are reading now is about a couple of kids trying to solve clues to save their seaside school from being torn down and turned into a theme park.  There's some interesting dilemas, when it's okay to not tell on a friend, when it's (sort of) okay to break the rules and in this book, the law!   What amazes me is his ability to remember which characters are in which books and the stories, especially when we have read so many.  This even after he scored in the 20th percentile for reading comprehension on a standardized test 6 months ago :)
