What an adventure! We got the house all emptied and ready for plaster/floors. We left at the crack of dawn Monday morning to make sure we got to the airport 2 hours early to make sure we could get seats together on the flight. Did the curbside check in thing and got in line for security. Randy glanced at the tickets and found out we did not get seats assigned. I got caught in security because I had accidentally thrown all the bottles of sunscreen in my carry-on (it's been way too long since we've flown). Randy and Luke went to the gate, walked up to the counter and they said, "You must be the Larsons. You don't have seats.". Randy and Luke had opposite window seats in the same row and I was a row behind them. We got on the plane in hopes that people would see that we had a 4 yo and would move over one seat so they could be together and guess what, they would not move!!!! Can you believe it??? They told the flight attendants no and then ignored us as we stood there. In the end the attendents offered free food, drinks, movies over the loud speaker and people agreed to shuffle. Just can understand what is wrong with people these days, entitled, selfish and without any compassion. Welcome to America!!!
Luke did awesome on the flight and settled right in. We are looking forward to lots of sun and fun!!! And hopefully some sleep :) The neighbors left their cell phone on the lanai last night and it started ringing every 10 minutes at 3:50am this morning. Oh well, still can't complain too much.
