Today we did the hike up to Rainbow Lake. It's about 10 miles roundtrip and we made it halfway there. Lots of elevation gain. Luke was a trooper. He did better when he could step in mud and little creeks and throw sticks off the bridges into the rushing water. We were trying to make it to the suspension bridge but never did. An amazingly beautiful hike for sure. Next year we'll try again and see if we can make it all the way.
Tomorrow is our last day. We'll probably head home around dinner. Sad to leave but will be nice to be home again. Our phones are on roaming so it's uber expensive to call or text anyone so we've been avoiding both.
