Audio Books

Luke is still going through audio books like crazy.  It's hard to keep up.  The longest books have been 14 hours, the shortest are closer to 3 hours.  They are all for kids age 9 and up.  It's hard to find books that are written for older kids but still appropriate and interesting for him.  We were done pretty good until yesterday.  He listened to a 6 hour audiobook in one day.  He listens while he plays legos.  The book seemed really good until the end.  The story goes 3 kids are on a plane to go stay with their uncle for awhile, when they get off it's a magical world where their lives are perfect, their new families are what they would have imagined the perfect parents to be.  In the end they decide they want to go back to their former lives and have to work hard to find each other and escape.  They find a dog and he helps them.  In the end it turns out the plane they were on had crashed, they were still strapped in their seats unconscious, holding hands hanging from a tree and the dog actually did find them and lead his owner to them.  It was a such a quick twist and so short.  In my head I was saying, "stop the story, stop the story!".  And then it was over.  Luke didn't say anything about it.  Not sure if he followed, it was so quick.  Hoping he didn't.  Why would a kid like an ending like that??

His eye look okay today, a little black, not too bad.
