Luke wears his satchel everyday to school. It's a blue hawaiian print purse that I got in Hawaii. The best part? In a class of 11 boys not one has said anything about it. He seems perfectly okay to be exactly who he is at Seabury. I love it! Last year there were several foods he didn't feel comfortable bringing to school and by the end of the year he only wanted to wear solid colored shirts because of comments from others.
We had curriculum night tonight where we met some of the other parents and learned about the school and how they teach the kids. A lot of what they do is open ended so kids are able to come up with their owns ideas and go as far as they want. Homework and assignments are individualized. Luke has made a couple of friends, one who lives near us. So far so good!
