Last weekend we found two cabbage butterfly chrysalis. Luke put them in his bug box. He took a cabbage worm and placed it in the box as well. This morning we found a butterfly had hatched from one of the chrysalis and the worm had turned into a chrysalis. His nature preschool teachers would be so proud :)
We had to let the butterfly out of the bug box to watch it learn to fly. Hopefully Luke will be okay letting it fly out the door at some point today. Although all it's likely to do is lay more eggs on my kale/collards.
And of course all the Lego people have come out to watch the butterfly fly.
